the Product
Undistilled Cotton Soapstock Fatty Acids (CFA) are a by-product of the alkaline refining of crude cotton seed oil. Reference lot 203 records an acid value of 180.33 mg KOH/g and approximately 90.8% free fatty acids — above the range usual for this category, and closer to a distillation feed than to a soap-grade acid oil.
Produced by PO «Azyk» in Turkmenabat, Turkmenistan, to standard TDS 605. Physical state: viscous paste, brown to dark brown, with a characteristic odour. Titre min 28 °C — the material solidifies in transit and returns to a flowable state on heating without loss of quality.
Unusually for the category, the mill certificate records mineral (sulphuric) acid as absent: soapstock acid oils normally carry residues from the acidulation step. The fatty acid profile is dominated by palmitic (C16:0), oleic (C18:1) and linoleic (C18:2); a GC profile can be produced per lot by an independent surveyor on request.
Scope of Application
Undistilled material. It suits buyers who saponify or split the acids themselves, and formulations where colour, odour and exact composition are not critical.
Not offered for feed. Free gossypol has not been analysed, so the product is not offered into the compound feed channel.
Not ISCC certified. Supplied into the industrial channel: oleochemistry, soap, greases, flotation, leather and technical chemistry.

Packaging & Loading
Ex-stock parcels in Vilnius are released by the place, approximately 0.9 MT each — there is no container minimum. Contract lots from the mill are packed as a non-returnable big bag inside a wooden crate on a pallet; IBC and FlexiTank are available on request. The crate is broken open at destination and the solidified block goes straight into processing: no heating, no tank facilities, no packaging return. A forklift is enough.

Mill certificate methods: TDS 605, TDS-5476, TDS-11812, TDS 790-89, TDS-5481. Surveyor verification is performed to ISO 660 (acid value), ISO 662 (moisture and volatile matter), ISO 663 (insoluble impurities) and ISO 18609 (unsaponifiable matter).
Analytical Notes
FFA ≈ 90.8% — Above the 45–80% range typical for soapstock acid oils. Less ballast per tonne in splitting and distillation.
Mineral acid — The mill certificate records no free mineral acid, which is uncommon for the category. Residual sulphate content is not covered by TDS 605 and is verified by surveyor where the application requires it.
Moisture + impurities 2.84% — The sum of the two certified figures. Note that MIU as used in this trade also includes unsaponifiable matter, which TDS 605 does not cover.
Unsaponifiable matter — Not covered by TDS 605. We declare no figure and borrow none from third-party analyses: MIU is determined by an independent surveyor per shipment and the adjustment formula is agreed at contract stage.
GC fatty acid profile — Not part of the mill certificate. Available per lot through an independent surveyor for buyers who need the C16 / C18:1 / C18:2 split.
Free gossypol — Not analysed. Irrelevant to soap, flotation, greases, leather and distillation; the product is not offered for feed.
